Mamie Peers serves as Vice President of Digital Marketing at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the 3,005-room resort located at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. She oversees the resort’s digital communications strategy, which includes the redesign and mobilization of the resort’s website, a revamp of its social media channels, and an inspired approach to online advertising. The new website features a clean, simple yet compelling layout that guests can easily navigate to book reservations and entertainment options from their mobile phones. Most recently Peers launched Rose, a mischief-making SMS chatbot who helps guests have more fun on their trips to Vegas by dishing out insider tips in a playful tone distinct to The Cosmopolitan.
Before leading the resort’s digital communication efforts, Peers served as Senior Director of Internal Communications and Identity Membership where she created innovative communication initiatives to keep The Cosmopolitan’s most loyal groups, including 5,000 employees known as CoStars, informed, engaged, motivated and inspired. In this role, Peers created the resort’s intranet, Clive, a social business network that changed the way CoStars interact and communicate with each other. Composed of hundreds of pages of critical information and videos documents direct to employees, Clive provides CoStars with the most up-to-date information on guests, programs and services and resort happenings.
Prior to joining The Cosmopolitan, Peers was an English teacher in the Clark County School District at Mojave High School for four years and an IT Communications Manager at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for seven years. In these two positions, she launched advanced technologies and communication techniques to improve teaching and learning within the classroom and at an enterprise level. These skills have not only contributed to her success at The Cosmopolitan, but have molded her into the dynamic and respected leader she is today.
Peers received a Master of Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Bachelor’s of Science from Pittsburg State University. Peers is actively involved in the community and volunteers with Communities In Schools of Nevada and the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.

Senior Director, UX and Design
Ross Higgins leads Newegg's global design and user experience. He and his team are responsible for defining the way users interact with the U.S. tech-focused e-retailer, and for designing the web, mobile and app user interfaces. A strong advocate for user experience within Newegg, Ross constantly evangelizes a user-centric design that employs modern techniques for data analysis and user testing.
Prior to joining Newegg, Ross was a freelance web designer/developer, an instructor in the Web Design program at the Art Institute of California and a senior front-end web developer at Fox Broadcasting, where he built and managed fox.com and mini sites for the network's TV shows. Ross also was a graphic web team lead and UX designer at ESRI, a provider of geographic information systems (GIS) software.
Evan Moore is the VP of Digital Product at goop - Gwyneth Paltrow’s innovative contextual commerce lifestyle brand. As the head of the digital product team he oversees the development of goop’s digital platform and consumer experiences. Over the past year he has helped goop more than double its conversion rate, drive large improvements in retention and lifetime value, drastically ramp its paid marketing efforts, and grow engagement and traffic to meet steep display advertising inventory demands. Prior to joining goop, Evan was the Director of Product for Ticketmaster’s Commerce Platform - a set of services and API’s which handle more than $2 billion in transactions in the US alone. Evan has also spent time with other hyper-growth retail brands like Beautycounter and launched multiple consumer facing properties with e-commerce veteran Shopzilla (now Connexity). Evan loves tackling large strategic challenges with deep analysis, pragmatic solutions, and innovative ideas.

Lisa Malleus currently leads ecommerce transformation and digital solutions for NA and LATAM markets for Mondelez International, snack food giant with world-renowned iconic brands including Oreo, Chips Ahoy!, Triscuit, Nabisco, Toblerone, etc. Her focus is on empowering strategy activation and defining digital/tech solutions for top line growth across pureplay and omni retailers
With over 12-years in ecommerce across a variety of industries including CPG, IoT / Connected Home, industrial, luxury retail / tabletop, Lisa has cultivated a multi-discipline approach to holistic ecommerce strategy. She has developed and launched DTC and B2B ecommerce and eBusinesses at Philips Lighting / Philips Hue, World & Main, Colart, Waterford Crystal and Wedgwood China. Lisa has BA in Business with a minor in marketing and computer science and is currently pursuing a MBA from Syracuse University.
Based in NYC Metro, she resides with her fiancé at the ‘real’ Jersey Shore with an idyllic beach life, of course having weathered her share of hurricanes. In addition to being an ecommerce maven, Lisa is a green thumb extraordinaire, culinary wiz, cat whisperer, hydrangea lover, and hair-color chameleon.

Thomas Connors is the Direct of Mobile at FreshDirect, the Northeast’s leading online grocer, where he is responsible for the innovation and delivery of mobile application program across the core business and sister brand FoodKick. Prior to FreshDirect, Thomas held technology leadership positions at JP Morgan and Time Inc, primarily focused on the mobile space. Thomas has a BS in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Simon Carpio serves as the Director of Product Management at U.S. Auto Parts Network where he oversees the development of its consumer websites that offer over 1.0 million products in the automotive aftermarket industry. He has worked on several internal and external products including the development of pricing engines, product information systems, and search indexing solutions. He is now focused on the website customer experience. Simon Carpio graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. He then received his Project Management certification from the California Institute of Technology.

Bethany Wallace studied Psychology, at The Ohio State University, where she discovered her passion for Digital Marketing. As an Email and Mobile Marketing Manager, at Shoe Carnival, she enjoys the creativity that SMS, MMS, push notifications, and email bring, along with dabbling in programmatic, display and social media. She previously worked at Rocky Brands, Inc. where she ran their Email Marketing Program, and created and ran their Loyalty Program. Bethany loves to travel with her family, enjoys running, the great outdoors and is a coffee addict.

Sourav is a senior UX researcher at Zappos. He enjoys exploring strengths, constraints, and applications of research methods to answer business, product, and design research questions. He believes that quality insights can be gathered by complementing research methods and is passionate about understanding the customers’ behaviors and attitudes vis-a-vis engagement, funnel, user journey, and context. In addition to e-commerce and retail, Sourav has worked in the areas of usable privacy, healthcare, and logistics.
